檣似鄧林江拍天，
The mast is like the striking sky of Denglin River,
越香巴錦萬千千。
The scent of Yue incense is as beautiful as a thousand brocades.
滕王閣上柘枝鼓，
The mulberry drum beats on the Tengwang Pavilion,
徐孺亭西鐵軸船。
The iron axle boat sails west to Xuru Pavilion.
八部元侯非不貴，
The Eight Ministers are not without importance,
萬人師長豈無權。
The commander of ten thousand people surely has power.
要君嚴重疏歡樂，
I ask you to lighten your pursuit of joy,
猶有河湟可下鞭。
There are still lands like Hehuang that can be conquered.
